Commitment to Net-Zero: We advocate for the rapid, structured phase-out of lignite, leveraging the region’s solar and wind potential to align fully with the EU Green Deal and 2050 neutrality targets.
Innovation First: We champion the adoption of cutting-edge solutions, including battery energy storage systems (BESS) and green hydrogen electrolysis, to leapfrog legacy infrastructure and modernize the grid.
Integration & Cooperation: Energy knows no borders. We foster trans-Balkan partnerships to create a unified, resilient energy market that integrates seamlessly with the pan-European grid.

Youth Corner

Empowering the next generation of energy leaders.

BASE’s Youth Corner is a dedicated space for young people who want to actively shape the region’s sustainable energy future. We believe youth are not just beneficiaries of the green transition, but key partners, innovators, and future decision-makers.

Through youth participation, non-formal learning, and international cooperation, BASE supports young people across the Balkans to build skills, gain real-world experience, and take leadership roles in climate and energy action. Our activities are aligned with Erasmus+ priorities and focus on inclusion, environmental responsibility, and capacity building.

From youth exchanges and hands-on training to volunteering and community projects, the Youth Corner connects young people with opportunities to learn, collaborate across borders, and turn ideas into impact.
